We guarantee that it'll be a really fun experience and you won't regret it. It's a part of the House experience that everyone should participate in! We really really really need more people to sign up so please do come and just have a good time! You can pull your friends along and turn it into a fun outing (:

Important details for Swimathon
- 8th July 2011
- CCAB Pool (21 Evans Road)
- 2.30pm to 5.30pm
- You will need a NSSA Certificate of minimum Bronze attainment

And here's a quick message from your swim capts, Joanna and Zara:

Swim Carn is back again, and totally different from the earlier round. There will be a mass swim event, (Ie Swimathon!) So everyone and anyone can swim! Hurray! In addition, there will be fun and exciting relays for you to be a part of, and a chance for you to show your support for the house! It really does not matter if you (think you) cannot swim because Mass Swim is more of leisure swim, and you can have fun with your friends while chilling out in the water! [#totallycool]

You can swim as many laps as you want and there is no maximum number of laps to be swum. ☺ Relays are largely a team effort, so as long as everyone gives their best shot, you are already a winner. Also it’s only 25m (half a lap!)

Proposed Events
1. Inter-House Mass Swim (1 to 1.5hrs)
2. Novelty Race (1 to 1.5hrs)
• 4x25m Inter-House Freestyle Relay (By Level – 4 races)
• 4x25m Inter- House Breaststroke Relay (By Level – 4 Races)
• 4x25m Inter-CCA Freestyle Relay
• 8x25m Inter-House Freestyle Relay
• 8x25m Inter-House Fun Race

Participants of Events
• In the Individual Events (Mass Swim), each House may submit as MANY ENTRIES as possible
(however must have NSSA certificate, at least a Bronze).
• Each competitor may participate in only TWO RELAY EVENTS and school swimmer may
participate in only ONE RELAY EVENT in her Division.
• In the Relay events, each House may submit only ONE TEAM PER EVENT.
• The team must swim in the order listed in the submission.
• Any events with less than 3 entries will not be swum off and the participants will be informed of
the cancellation.
• All entries are subject to verification by the Swim Carn Committee

SWIM CARN 2011 IS COMING!
It will be on 8th July 2011, venue TBC.
This year it's going to be quite competitive so we hope that many of you will sign up for it!

· 25m freestyle (novice)

· 25m breaststroke (novice)

· 50m freestyle

· 50m breaststroke

· 50m butterfly

· 50m backstroke

· 100m freestyle

· 100m breaststroke

· 100m butterfly

· 100m backstroke

· 200m individual medley (IM)

· 4x50m freestyle relay

· 4x50m medley relay (Team of 4, each person swims a different stroke)

Novelty Race

· 4x25m Upper Level (Yr 4) Freestyle Relay

· 4x25m Upper Level (Yr 3) Freestyle Relay

· 4x25m Lower Level (Yr 2) Freestyle Relay

· 4x25m Lower Level (Yr 1) Freestyle Relay

· 8x25m Inter-House Freestyle Relay

· 8x25m Inter-House Fun Relay

You don't need to be a swimmer to sign up (: We just hope that you'll be able to have loads of fun! We can prove to the other houses that we can win this. Every sign-up counts, so please do join if you can. It will be fun :D

HELLO EVERYONE, LONG TIME NO SEE!
Here's a letter I wrote to all of you (:

So, how's life? How are you all coping with school? I hope you're not drowning under the pile of homework and projects :/ Here's a virtual hug to make you feel happier. It's the March holidays, so get more rest, eat more chocolate and be happy! (And remember to finish your homework/PTs...)

I see a lot of you guys have added me as a friend on Facebook! I am happy :D You can write on my wall if you like and I will reply as soon as I can.

Anyway, quite a few House Pracs have passed! Do your Saturday mornings feel strangely empty without House Pracs? If you click on the 'Photos/Videos' button over there, you'll find that the section has been updated with photos of you all. We have photos from the IHG Opening Ceremony and some House Pracs, so head on over there to see if you can spot any of your friends! Kudos to Yang Gin for being awesome and taking these photos. If any of you have photos of Richardson-related events, drop us a message or send it to richardsonhouse11@gmail.com and your name could be up there too!

Okay, take this short break to rest and catch up on whatever you need to do. We hope that you'll come back for our next House Prac with even more enthusiasm and rahrah-ness! I can't wait to see you all again 8) Don't forget what House Comm has taught you okay!
